I’ve loved stories for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always the one with a book in my hands and a wild imagination in my head. Fantasy grabbed me early—magic, other worlds, and characters who had to be brave even when they were scared.
As I grew up, life gave me my own hard chapters. My son Chad was born with Spina Bifida and used a wheelchair, and walking through hospitals, appointments, and everyday challenges with him changed the way I see people. Losing him later on changed me even more. I learned how strong “ordinary” really is, and how much courage it takes just to keep going. That experience is a big part of why I’m drawn to characters who live with disabilities or feel like outsiders. I want them to see themselves as heroes too.
I write fantasy stories and I’m also working on adult books that I’ll be publishing very soon. My stories mix real emotions—fear, hope, grief, love—with magic and adventure. I love taking everyday people and dropping them into extraordinary situations, then watching them discover strength they didn’t know they had.
Outside of writing, I’m a mom to three amazing grown children and a proud dog lover who enjoys working at the local high school. Life keeps me moving, whether I'm hitting the floor for some line dancing or heading out on a special date with my husband. We both love escaping for vacations in the mountains whenever we can. Of course, I’m still a huge fan of country music—Jason Aldean is my favorite, and I call him “my man, my man”—and his songs are often playing in the background while I write.
Every book I create is a piece of my heart. If you’ve ever felt different, left out, or like you had to fight a little harder than everyone else, my hope is that you’ll find comfort, courage, and maybe a bit of magic in my stories.
